superstition among chinese

There are numerous of superstitious belief in all the races in malaysia, including Malays, Chinese, and indians. All these superstition has been inherited since ancestors. Most of the superstitious belief are illogical and out of our imagination. However, we are still inheriting it as our own custom.

I know some of the superstitious belief which have been practising by people in Malaysia. So, i am going to share with all of guys some of the superstitious belief in Malaysia.

Firstly, let talk about the superstitious belief during the Chinese New Year. Before that festival, we must sweep our whole house, because we can't sweep during the festival to prevent from sweep away any good luck. Then, it's better for hang red colour's decorations, instead of cook or brown, to become more 'ong'. During that festival, we must wear red colour's clothes.

There are also superstitious belief in our daily life. For example, we cann't cut our nail at night, we cann't shake our leg when we sit, etc.
Some old people say that you cannot tickle a toddler's legs. If you do so, when the toddler gros up, he/she will don't dare to cross drains. One more superstition, we cannot say good things in front of that baby. If we do so, the baby will grow up exactly the opposite of wat we said.Like if you say that baby is pretty or handsome, the baby will end up being ugly when he/she grows up.

Well, superstition is about our bed position. Chinese believe that we must not put our bed right in front of the mirror, especially those are body-size mirror. This is because they believe that the person who arrange his/her bed in front of the mirror will in high chance to encounter or see a ghost if he/she is awakened at midnight and not intentionally look at the mirror. So, those the bed is in front of the mirror must evacuate it from there.

Then, chinese also believe in 'feng shui', especially their house. Premeditated plan is imperative when they want to buy a house or arrange their furniture. It is a incumbent for them to do that , so that the whole family and the next generation will acquire the good fortune. Chinese generation have been gripped this concept since China Civilisation.

Many community in Malaysian belives of superstition. But the most belive is chinese.
